Travel and exploration have always been the driving forces behind Nampurkar's designs. The Vintage Grandeur Roha project is no exception. Drawing inspiration from his road trips to the countryside and his fascination with Indian heritage architecture, Nampurkar has created a project that is both a tribute to the past and a vision for the future. The project's unique design features a temple as its focal point, symbolizing the supremacy of spirituality in Indian culture.
What sets the Vintage Grandeur Roha apart from other projects is its commitment to sustainability. Nampurkar has made use of locally available materials and state-of-the-art techniques to create a design that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally friendly. The project also features reused materials such as wooden poles, plastic containers, and metal bowls to create lighting fixtures, further emphasizing its commitment to sustainability.
The Vintage Grandeur Roha is not just a design project; it's a lifestyle statement. With a master plan area of 250 acres, the project offers a tranquil, comforting environment that is in harmony with its surroundings. The use of vernacular architecture and native trees creates a welcoming and homely atmosphere that is both simple and sophisticated.
The project was not without its challenges. The client wanted a luxurious resort that blended in with the surroundings and maintained an authentic look. Nampurkar had to find a balance between luxury and simplicity, a challenge he overcame by making use of vernacular architecture to create a luxurious setting.
The Vintage Grandeur Roha project is a shining example of how design can be used to promote sustainability and preserve cultural heritage. It is a testament to Nampurkar's creativity and commitment to sustainable design, and a worthy winner of the Silver A' Sustainable Products, Projects and Green Design Award in 2018.
